What is rhinoplasty?
Given its central location on the face, it’s no wonder that people want to have a nose job done in order to improve their entire facial appearance. This is why the rhinoplasty procedure, commonly referred to as a nose job, is the most popular facial plastic surgery choice. Luckily for residents of Orange County, one of the top rhinoplasty surgeons in the country has his practice right here in Newport Beach. Dr. Kevin Sadati, of Nose Job Recovery, is highly regarded largely due to his expertise and experience in the field, and his amazing results that he produces for his patients.
There are many reasons that patients choose to have a rhinoplasty procedure performed. Some patients require this surgery for functional reasons. They may be experiencing trouble breathing or perhaps have a tough time sleeping through the night. Other patients are interested in improving the aesthetics of their nose. They may want to reduce the size or eliminate a bump on the nasal bridge. No matter what a person’s reasons are for desiring this procedure, Dr. Sadati aims to provide results that not only help them look better, but also help them feel better.
Dr. Sadati takes the time to get to know his patients. This extra effort allows him to truly give them a nose that works for them. He takes into account the rest of a patient’s facial features, as well as their personality and ethnicity, when working on their nose. At the end of the surgery, the patient is thrilled to see that Dr. Sadati was able to create the nose they always felt that they were meant to have on their face.
Most patients will be placed under general anesthesia for this particular procedure. However, some patients do not want to do this, and may qualify for twilight anesthesia. Twilight anesthesia is the process by which a person is put to sleep using an oral or IV sedative, and only a local anesthetic is used during the surgery. Dr. Sadati prefers to work out of surgical centers, where patients get the same individualized attention and care as a hospital can provide, but without the cost of staying in a hospital room.
After the procedure is complete, the patient will wear a nasal splint for about a week. There may be some swelling and bruising, and patients may experience mild discomfort. Dr. Sadati provides each patient with individual preoperative and postoperative instructions that are designed to help minimize pain and discomfort following the procedure. Since each patient and rhinoplasty is different, Dr. Sadati makes every effort to provide the most individualized and custom care so that each patient has a positive experience at his practice.
